The only problem I see is the text is too blurred, and the line border above it is too 'sharp', it doesn't contrast well.
Other than that eyesore, I like the two 'crystals' in the corners. Very nice.

It looks much better, more pristine. But the text, argh, it's too blurry for my tastes. But it doesn't ruin the mage for me.
