I'm starting to improve(I think).
Don't kill me, it's only my 3rd full size vector.

Also, the entire picture has just..... a ... um.... a "soft" look to it. Is it a weak gaussian, or what? I really like a ton man. Please reply to this.

The rounded off ones are pen tool custom shapes, I'm working on a full set of them.
The soft edges are a 20 percent opacity outer glow of the same color as the shape.
Most of the shapes I use come with photoshop, but I've begun to make my own.
What also adds to the "soft" effect is the contrast between shades, I always use swatches, they are pretty much just a palette really, you should always use one when you pick your colors, there are plenty of different sets to play with.
But I'm still new to this, you'll see more custom shapes soon. I don't plan on doing more vectors until I've finished my set.
One easy effect is the circles, there are solid ones, medium outline ones, and thick outline ones, I've seen people make awesome vectors with just circles, it's really easy to do.
Thank you for your interest!

I'm motivated to try my own hand at vector art.
