In school I did my share of work in paint shop pro, and the tools are similiar but how you use layers, brushes, burn/dodge and other tools to make these outstanding graphics is beyond me. I'd like to know where should I start as far as being a beginner In photoshop, I can use the tools to a certain extent but the burn/dodge tool don't work for me at all.
When you guys have an idea you want to put into work through photoshop how do you know what filters etc to apply and what settings to tweak to get the desired effect If I knew this I'd be much better in photoshop.
