I guess I give up posting new ones now, it's time to let this roll out... Great work you all and you can see as soon as someone throws a little money in the pot everyone jumps on this job.
By the way, love what you, Griffin, mattyk and RedDragon are doing, you're an inspiration for me to think of new stuff to try and beat you once |

as you said in pm mattyK
Flower colors are too vibrant but i think first of all that it's not whole logo colors and i thought that this could attract eye (it's the point of a logo after all). The blue stay blue remembering spa as remembering water. You notice that font is too much cartoon style : it's right. i see a hand writing and so it looks natural to me that's why i choose this one Some fantasy can sometimes bring a good side to professionnals (look google and yahoo logos As i said in mp it's just a first try and may be improved This post has been edited by alter-box: Aug 17 2006, 03:15 PM |

dude, why do you care so much? It's just some critism. I said the logo was fine (which it is), it's just not what she asked for.

Hi Everyone,
Firstly I want to thank everyone for entering, and Donna for first cleaning the thread of the odd troll and then messaging me to check I was happy with the off-topic stuff. Great way to run things! Secondly, I want to express (and on behalf of the client) a delight with how the standard of designs kept improving. MattyK raised the bar first with his 'flower' logo, and Griffin, Darkstone and Nothingman immediately raised their games and made the competition start to look really interesting. Myoto pulled out a couple of nice concepts, minus put a lot of effort into creating something 'different', and moesh came in with something really fresh. Inferi's first and last was a lovely concept, and although it wasn't right for this competion, showed some really nice illustrative skills! BlackHawk_996, Babyface, Seraphim, The Pro Designer, Tmyie, jnl_624, alter-box and Bronya - all your contributions helped to give a breadth and depth to the competition. Sorry I didn't manage to respond to every entry individually - I do recognise the sheer amount of hard work that went in. I'll also aim to run further competitions with 2nd and 3rd place prizes if appropriate, even if it means dropping the first place prize a bit at times. I thought there would be one standout design, and there were three. I'd be happy giving any of you the prize. So without further ado, here are the top #3 Winner: (100UKP) - RedDragon ![]() 2nd Place - Griffin![]() 3rd Place - MattyK![]() Griffin and MattyK, you came very close to winning. If either of you would like free hosting for a portfolio site or client site (including email and mySQL/access database, php/asp/perl support) then let me know and I'll get it set up. RedDragon, please pm me about how I can pay you (I'll need an invoice of some kind) and I'll get that sorted out quickly. best wishes, John Hancock This post has been edited by Discontinuity: Aug 17 2006, 10:08 PM |
