^^^ great article. I think the main points is to remember..... lets give an example of pixel2life.

Now, they offer so much its just unbelieveable. You look at a site for instance, good-tutorials.... sure, they are a gret photoshop tutorial indexing site, but what you have to look at is why would your visitors come back??

Pixel2life visitors come back for.... the forum, the articles, the new tutorials, to see whats happening on the site because omething always is.

Connecting to this, there is always updates on here in numerous places, where as good-tutorials can relly only update in... adding tutorials.

A site like yours, you should ask yourself, 'would i come back here' If you wouldn't add more stuff, more interactivity make the visitors return.

ok well i was updating my site for about 2 months without stoping, nothing happened so i stoped, the only place where i saw that people were actually doing something was downloads i had like 10 downloads per each song and i had 1gb of music there , and i just couldnt be bothered fixing it for nothing, i looked yesterday in my webalizer it said that in august i had 400unique guest per day average, and this month i had 14 unique guests, maybe because my site is a gaming site ;)

it's not just this forum..

sometimes if you have more than one browser window open and you go to another link after writing half a post, your post will be deleted..

I've gotten it back before by closing the other browser window and refreshing, but that was on another board....

safest thing to do if you're multi-tasking is to always hit "preview post" before you click another link.. and at least you have it all there in the preview when you come back :D if it disappears from the main message...

little tricks from the multi-multi-tasking chica sEVEn =]]]

once bitten, twice shy =]

haven't u heard the rule "always save your work?" =]]] it applies here too

one sec i'll find a little funny for you to read on that.

Dude you have to offer unique content. Like this old gaming site I used to work for called xgia, offered tons of fresh unique content, however becuase of the lack of user compatability the sites forums and main site seem stale and un touched. Users want to be able to change things, and comment on stuff, and with gaming sites, the big guys hold the top spots, ign, gamespy, and some others. Just have to know what the user wants and always be thinking of ways to bring new innovations to the table.

You want to offer unique and interesting content. If you offer the same stale tutorials that everyone else does, odds are your going to suffer in the hits category.

you guys continue to say the worlds unique.. i understand interesting but unique.. can you think of something that other sites dont have?

lets say i wanted to start my own game site today and i was brainstorming the most unique things to put on my webpage.. what could i put that's unique compared to others besides an appealing design? =_____= ive been to hundred of game sites and im sure ive seen it all... unique? i really dont think there's much which u could put which another gaming site wouldnt have [gamespot>all ahaha]..

maybe it's just me speaking before thinking.

What they mean by unique content is that you can't fust go to an article site and copy the articles from there. You have to come up with them on your own.

Or if you were making a sig and wondered how to lets say...have a tech border. And you couldnt find it ANYWHERE. A good thing to would be to make a tutorial on that.

Unique=Things most others DONT have

I too am working on a graphics site. Everythings going great with the template. Going to start on the content soon.
