Try creating a portfolio / site to showcase your skills. Then tell people to go there. People hire you based on expierence.

Well I'll tell you this. I am currently in the Video Production field, specifically in the Post Production field for the automotive industry here in Detroit. I have a 4 year degree from Ferris State University, majoring in Television and Digital Media Production.

Some jobs in the video production industry don't really require you to have a degree. Some people, even more prestigious production firms, would rather you have real world/professional experience in this industry. You can start by looking for Production Assistant jobs, or Post Production Assistant jobs. Depending on where you live, you can even PA [Production Assistant] motion picture sets.

Some good sites to search through for video production jobs [even entry level] is:
Mandy.com
Productionhub.com
Craigslist.com

To note, Craigslist very rarely has postings of firms looking for full time employees. Craigslist is mostly freelance/contract jobs and positions, but this is a great way to get your foot in the door. I would still suggest school of some kind in the field, since you can move up the ladder faster. Without a degree, it will just take you a little longer for you to reach your goals, unless you are a real fast learner :bs:

Lengthy reply, I'm sorry. Let me know if this is what you were looking for.

A lot of buyers are uploading many many projects daily in freelancing site. Some of them are scriptlance.com , odesk.com , getafreelancer.com
There you can place your bid to win a job.
