Hope noone is gonna kill me for this one, but i think(!!), if the format is accepted (which isnt always the case) then .png would be the best format (.gif for animations, is the only format, so no suprises there)
Hope i am right...

png will preserve exact colors so it's result looks the best. but file size is killer.
gif and jpeg save pretty much the same if you know how to use them. and i dont think there's tutorials on saving files... just click file - save for web. look at the settings, and put them to what you want them.

Hello,
a .png is the best way quality wise. As coolaid said it is a killer on the file size. What works for me is to go to save for web or CTRL+SHIFT+ATL+S and then i set the settings to jpg medium this means that it is still not heavy user and you get decent results for the file size. Also make sure that you click the optimize box to optimize the file settings. Hope this helps. Ryan
