I've recently installed PHP Designer 2005 and when I try to debug or run my PHP scripts the program asks for a PHP compiler, but how can I "download" a PHP compiler or PHP on my computer? I've visited www.php.net and I've gotten several things I can download: Windows binaries or the complete soruce code, but I'm unsure on which to download. When replying please give direct download links.

Thanks

What do you want? The binary or source? What OS do you use? What system type do you run?

It is a sweet new PHP IDE. Very effective, unless you make your own IDE, or you have zend trial, ect.

I run Windows XP, and I don't know what I want, lol, I just need a compiler or PHP interpreter.

Should I download PHP Triad, thats an interpreter for PHP isn't it, and which version should I download: http://sourceforge.n...p?group_id=9325?

Thanks for the help

You should download what ever version you want... generally the newest one is recommended. But i'm not sure if it's what you're looking for, go ahead and give it a try, whats the worst that can happen?

Your computer could blow up and you could die forever and ever!
Just download that Zend stuff, it has a variety of servers and php versions compiled with it

If your on windows the you need to download the windows binarys. Download teh zipped file version and extract it to C:\php\ them set up PHP Designer 2005, you need to goto Tools -> Prefrences -> someother menu -> config server or something like that I havn't used it in a while.

You need to point php designer 2005 to your php.exe file and your good to go!

I've found a little program called PHP Triad which had a php.exe file and everything seems to work fine.
