recently ive been trying out adsense for my site and untill last week, i was quite satisfied with it. Google banned me from adsense, their were acusing me of generating illegal clicks, which ive never done, i havent encouraged my forum members to click the ads in any way either...

Is there anything i can do about this, or should i just go and find a different adservice?....

If you have a very good reason to fight it yes go for it if not then let it go, so many sites breach the Terms & Conditions and lots fail to even read that, just by accidently clicking an ad yourself you can be banned.

I think the best thing you could do is come over to the dark side and join the Yahoo! Publisher Network ^_^.

It's some what of a haven for those who were banned by Google with seemingly no explanation or proof.

I honestly think Google is banning members so they don't have to pay up. They get paid from the advertisers and that's all they care about... they couldn't care less about the bills their publishers need to pay, which is why so many have left them for good and joined YPN.

Sadly YPN is still in beta and only allows US residents to join, here's the link.

Partially quoting you SKETCHi,

it's not Googles responsibility you have bills, these things should be thought about before ever starting a site if you cannot pay your hosting you seriously cannot blame Google for banning you lol you should have the monies already prior to that.

They will and do unban people if you can prove and legitimately prove and have a valid reason for your ads to increase all of a sudden.

Well Donna, some people do depend on these ads to pay bills. These people make a full time job out of running their websites, they depend on Google as well as others to generate an income. I'm not saying Google is obligated to provide their service to them, but you would think that at least some form of honest business relationship would exist. Instead, Google just treats them like another name in the books.

Obviously a lot of people do break the TOS, but Google seems to go by the guilty until proven innocent game plan. Which in my opinion is bad business. But of course Google can do this, because lets face it, they're Google...

Surely Google unbans some people... but I hear this all the time, people being banned left and right with no follow up. I have actually gone through this, Google didn't even e-mail me, ever. Even after several e-mails to them, they never once e-mailed me back. I didn't even ask to be unbanned, I just asked for a reason. They didn't even send me the generic "you generated fake clicks" e-mail.

lol welcome to the club,
Ultimately its Google and in their TOS if i'm not mistaken it does state they can tirminate your account for whatever reason they see fit, or something along those lines.
Also its not the end of the world i used them got banned stopped using ads for a while as i felt a website is about the content not making money but if can make money while running the website then its a plus.
Also you have to remember that there are people who ruin things for other, but i guess its life

Well Donna, some people do depend on these ads to pay bills.

I am not sure how many people actually pay bills that way :D my guess is very few. Some people do however use the money to help with domain costs but MOST people use it just to help I supose that if you have a big site it may help a great deal.

Actually Hoot, I know a couple people who do... chances of me knowing two that do means there must be plenty more who do as well. Faken and Zach Holman probably do, or could, too. If you add up the text link sales on GT, he is making $4,000 from that alone... then you figure $1 CPM and over hundreds of thousands of page views per day...

But the people who don't have a hit website end up having many websites and get the same revenue.

I'm part of this 'club' too.

I was getting around 10,000 impressions per day, then one fine day, I check my account and :o

141,000 impressions all of a sudden with like 37,000 clicks.
I was shocked, I contacted Google immediately, but they still banned me.

I feel I was not to blame either, I strongly believe it was a bot that did this or some sort of software built to mass-click ads. I even requested for the IP with the majority of clicks but they were unwilling to give back my account. Next 2 e-mails I sent there was no reply so I gave up.

I know it's not Google's problem, but they really should treat their publishers with more respect, I don't want the money generated on that day, but I would have liked to keep my Google Adsense account.

Well, I haven't tryed google's adsense yet but I'm planning to use it soon. I can tell you that http://www.bidvertiser.com/ are pretty good. Sign up for a publisher account, give them your detials, the code they give you and put it on your site. You can choose to be paid via paypal or check. The min payment for paypal is $10 and the min payment for check is $50.

They do also have a curious history or banning anyone who gets near to payout time. *bangs head*

Yeah, I had like $102.50 and it was like a few days until payment, and we got banned. They gave me a 'bs' reason why and refused to unban my account. I was so angry. I still am. I also cannot join the Yahoo network since im a Canadian.

So i've for now chosen to go with Clicksor. Anybody know any other faster, better paying adsense other then google, clicksor, and yahoo?

If your site meets the requirements, www.text-link-ads.com pay the best on a per month basis, not on howmany clicks they just sell the adspace for you so if you have good traffic, good PR, nice alexa rank you can get a good amount

lol "accidently clicking" i hate when that happens...somehow my mouse just hovers over the ad and then all of the sudden out of no where the mouse clicks! OMG! i hate that! lol not making fun of just thought it was funny :)

If you have a very good reason to fight it yes go for it if not then let it go, so many sites breach the Terms & Conditions and lots fail to even read that, just by accidently clicking an ad yourself you can be banned.

I dun really think adsense is a good thing ...
1st. It always spoil the look of your website ( correct me if im wrong)
2nd. The above cases have show that it might not be nice thing to use

LOL i agreed with him XD

I believe that Clicksor's getting you paid thing is most likely the best in my personal opinion. But dear god, didn't know google already also would hate you for just getting used to your adsense on your site. I mean that's just either idiotic of them to ban you or they have a reason that won't make sense ;)
