Im going to make a new site. But are some ideas for that? What would benifical to the online community or fun. What ever you think. Please post all/any ideas you may have. Or You want to see.

If you have no ideas, then don't make a site. You're asking such a general question that there's no point in trying to answer it. Either think of your own ideas or don't bother at all.

"Online community" describes basically anyone with an internet connection. Kind of broad, don't you think?

Well, I dont know. I cant give you any ideas, but it shold be your opinion.

And if people come up with good ideas, they will probably use them on their own site.

Well, I dont know what other people want, but I can give you basic ideas:
Redesign some sites: Your Tutorials site, Personal Site
You can just make another Designing site, but not basic designing, like cool unique tutorials.
umm, You can make an Entertainment Website, News and stuff.

I dont really know your skills. maybe post them and I'll see

a site with one of the following subjects:

reviewing icecream
collecting batteries
video tutorials on how to program a tv
how to water a plant

would be pretty unique

There are to many post with people asking "what should my site be about", you have a mind so use it! Be creative make it about something your interested in.

If there was a need for something on the web it would be unique and the lot of us would steal the idea before we shared it lol

You need a basic idea at least before anyone else on this Forum can help you, that's why I moved it to general help.

I don't think the subject of building a "porn" site is really appropriate here. But the subject was bit silly I think. If you have an idea get productive with that idea.

I don't think it's silly, but you should have a poll built somewhere on a site so people can vote, because if you want to make money then its good to kno wwhat the majority want and will visit, because to be honest no one has there own ideas anymore, every site is a tutorial site that we will never hear of or something like that, all project wants to know is where are the bucks, not gimme all your ideas

no I really want to know ideas. I want to make a website that will be useful to other people.


I think i will make site with different things in it.
I will have a site with easter eggs, scripts, tuts, and More.

If you are still following school courses, go to your teachers and ask them what they really need on the site...

USE YOUR BRAIN, BE CREATIVE! Seriously, if you don't know what to make a website about, then don't make one! You're going about this COMPLETELY the wrong way. You should make a website because you have an idea, not get an idea because you want to make a website. Understand?

i think ur first comment was clear enough for putting ur opinion across greg, but he's asked a broad questions to get a varied range of suggestions from which he can pick wot he feels is/are the best ideas and then use his own imagination to make the best of those ideas.... dont b so hard on him lol


onto the topic in hand... if u can code and have time u could make a website providing web services (hosting/web building/etc - of course tho, this would need u to get resellers etc), u could make a website like youtube for showing videos, music clips, etc (make sure u dont infringe copyrights tho)... a site for playing flash games... infact u could even make a site asking the question this topic is based on... u might get some sensible answers afterall lol
