This is the online portfolio and blog of a Belfast based designer and illustrator. The site contains illustrations, sketches and photography.

I've just finished build new new site and could do with some review or user experiences.

Thanks

It says your page isn't valid.

Shouldn't say it is, if it isn't :)

Page was valid but I've made a few changes today, these need to be fixed to make the page valid but I'm working on those at the minute, all the other pages validate

<link rel="shortcut icon" href="/favicon.ico" />

and also
"208" border="0" class="img_border" /></a></p>

You need to add an alt="" in the image tag :(

I like the border colour change on the image. smart :)

Also CSS Validator:

Please, validate your XML document first!

The element type "link" must be terminated by the matching end-tag "</link>".

I really like like the colours and the simpleness of the site.

Just my thoughts and opinions on the site would be that the numbers next to the menu pages, ie "01. home" has just been so over used and in my opinion is just lame and pointless. I'm not exactly digging the overlaying look either. Like how you have the dark blue sheet on top of the light blue sheet, but hey that's me.

I'm really digging the flash gallery. Only because when you click the thumbnail, only a small image comes up of the actual image. Unless I'm missing something that would show a large resolution version of it.

I've never heard of PSGirl's tutorial on 13 dots, the design is one that i had come up with about 8 months ago but I've only recently had the time to build it. A lot of people seem to have a problem with the numbers next to the nav items, what do you guys think?

It's a simple but effective design. But I guess if it's an illustrator's site, you'd want to keep it simple to keep the attention on the artwork and designs of the illustrator. Top notch work, buddy. ^_^
