Well my dads boss asked me to design him a logo for his business. Well he likes my progress so far, but I need some help on bending some text. This layer is rasterized, so how can I bend it like the text effects, without rotating each letter individually.

If making a logo you would want to have the whole thing vectorized if you ever plan on useing it outside a computer enviroment. If you are useing PS CS2 or later you can press Ctrl-t for the transform options and then click the wrap option in the toolbar to bend it, this however is difficult in a tricky manner to get accurate. The easiest way would prob be to just remove and redo the the text with the textwrap.

Also if you lay a path with the pen tool you can have text follow the path.

Why not just select the text area and fill it in with the bg color if it isnt on a sepparate layer and then rewrite the text useing the warp text styles on a new layer?
