I'm an avid gamer when i'm not drowning in course work or being forced into social situations
So I thought id start work on a gaming site, and with that I present The United Gamer Society:
www.UnitedGamerSociety.com
It's only been up for a day and is still very much a work in progress.
From the splash page you can visit the new forums which are still in the process of being skinned.
And there you have it.
Enjoy

Bit of an update.
I've completed the design of the main page, an image of which can be seen here:
I have also pretty much finished converting it all into html:
www.unitedgamersociety.com/testing/old/
What do you think?
We are looking for volunteers in the area of programming/forum integration (vbulletin) aswell as some other areas which can be seen here (still using a temp forum):
http://www.unitedgam...x.php?board=6.0
So if any of those interest you, or you just want to stop in and chat, be sure to say hi

Very nice, not too heavy on the renders which is often the downfall of game-community sites I see on here (Or used to see, haven't been here for a while).
Shame on you Mr Griffin though, a splash page? I'd sooner pay £500 for a tablet without flash or multitasking than revisit one of them.
Is there no way you could shift what the splash page does onto the main page? Be it in stickied news or something? It just personally gives a bad first impression as to what is otherwise something beautiful.

The only reason the splash page is there is because I got the idea for the site messing around with that splash banner graphic so I didnt want it to go to waste lol.
I'll probably have it redirect to the forum soon since the backend development still needs alot of work.
