Hello everyone,

I recently started working on a design for a portfolio-type website for myself, I figured it was about time I organized my work in one place instead of leaving it scattered throughout multiple drives and directories that I can never find :)

Anyways, here's what I have thus far, it's not much but ill continue to update this thread as it comes together. I'm trying a slightly different style than I usually do.

As always your comments and suggestions are appreciated :)

looks awesome. I wouldn't put the navigation on the background. use CSS or Flash for that and leave space for a div or how ever your going to do it.

apart from i like it. i like how the planets fit with the colour scheme you have going.

This will look awesome when you get it up. (when you do Post the link, i would love to take a look at it)

Personally, I like where the nav is. I'd like to see some afterglow effects on the text and that blue bar below it.

This be a fixed width design I presume?

I like it a lot. Does the celestial feel match the work shown? Or is it just a personal reflection?

I guess you could say they're more of a personal reflection :)

@Shawn, it will be a fixed design

Im probably going to code the navigation using jquery so I can add some cool effects.

Haven't had much time to work on it recently but I hope to have some updates relatively soon...

If this is our portfolio that you're showing to potential clients/employers I would really make sure the work matches your theme. If it's just a showcase of work for shniz and wiggles... I guess space is the limit :P

Thanks Spide. I need to try and remake the space scene, unfortunately I lost the original psd I made...

@Android, It's probably just going to be a showcase of work I do (be it webdesign or otherwise), though I might add a link somewhere if people want to contact me regarding a job.
