BURST! Media is one of the best, but more exclusive, advertising companies. They offer banner advertisements in an assortment of sizes with relatively high payouts.
http://www.burstmedia.com/

Commission Junction is a great affiliate program. They offer tons of advertisers to choose from with a large variety of different link types. From text links to search boxes to standard image sizes, even e-mail marketing. One downside is that there are very few CPC advertisers. Most of your income will have to come from CPA. Also, they have a 2 letter domain name... how cool is that.

Tribal Fusion is probably the best choice if you have a high traffic website (over 2,000 unique visitors daily).

Another good ad serving company is Fast Click. They require half the amount of unique visitors as Tribal Fusion.

I have heard very good things about both of these companies. For more information on companies like these, visit AdCache.com.

Google Adsense

Google AdSense is a fast and easy way for website publishers of all sizes to display relevant Google ads on their website's content pages and earn money. Because the ads are related to what your visitors are looking for on your site — or matched to the characteristics and interests of the visitors your content attracts — you'll finally have a way to both monetize and enhance your content pages.

Don't forget to check out the TOS etc!!

Clicksor is the worset advertising company, dont respond to emails, do not target your ads and very very low payout.

I am reading the fastclick TOS and it seems you can't place their ads on any website that contains forums, even if you do not put the ads on forums....seems a bit restrictive to me. I also do not see any unique hit requirements on fastclick, just monthly impression.

Text Link Ads is the best, no images to slow your site down and they pay quite good money!

THANK YOU. Someone to share my woes with. Say do you want to start an ad company blog and give clicksor a bad review? They 'upgraded' my minimum payout from $20 to $50 when I was at $19.54.
