For a while now, I've been coding websites fairly extensively. I'm no expert at this, but I can almost always make what people want. The websites are generally 40-50 pages, all with dynamic content, a password protected Admin Panel, and a few forum mods on the side. These projects usually take 20 or so hours. I don't do this as an actual job, it's just to make money on the side.
Recently, I've been hearing more and more about how much money people are making just for coding 5 or 6 pages in basic HTML. Someone I know actually got paid $900 dollars to code 3 HTML pages, and I only charge about $300 for all the dynamic content I listed above.
I seriously need to rethink all of this. In your opinion, what would be a good price to charge? And, more importantly, where do people find buyers like this? This isn't even a part time job for me, but I realized there's some real potential here.
I can code just about anything in HTML. I know XHTML, CSS, Photoshop, and enough PHP to do simple tasks like news scripts and basic CMS systems. Is there a bigger market out there for me? Like I said before, I usually charge around $300 for 20+ hours of work.
