How do you even get people to advertise on your site?

How many hits/traffic per mo. are companies looking for?

How much do you charge companies?

Just wondering, been looking through some other threads... they all kinda "jumped out" at me smile.gif

"How do you even get people to advertise on your site? "

If you feel that someone will be willing to advertise on your site, you can begin offering advertising. Create a page that describes your website, its dominant audience (demographic), monthly statistics, and other information that would entice advertisers.

"How many hits/traffic per mo. are companies looking for?"

The more the better. What's also important is your site's demographic. For example, are most of your visitors computer-savvy? Then it would be practical for a computer store to advertise on your site, but not a bakery store. Some advertisers just want generic traffic (non-targeted), so they don't care what kind of visitors your site reels in.

"How much do you charge companies?"

Believe it or not, this is too general of a question. There are ton of variables that affect the price of advertising. Just to list a few:

- How many unique visitors your site receives.

- The size of the advertisement (if banner).

- The position of the advertisement on your page. The placement greatly affects how many people will notice the ad, and its CTR (click-through rate). An ad at the bottom of a page is worth less than one at the top. It gets more complicated than just "top and bottom," but that just gives you an idea that placement counts.
