We have enabled the option for members to be able to change their own member names.

How It Works:

You login with your normal username the one you you always login with. (your display name will NOT work)

Go to your Settings - Personal Profile - Change Display Name

You can choose a "Display Name" that is separate from your "Log in UserName" and change your username once every 6 months.

Few Guidelines:

Don't impersonate any members or Staff, don't abuse it otherwise we'll disable it.
No messaging us for member name changes please.

About this name changing thing....it would be good if the names would remain similar....so we could recognize each other

I think what Donna has been doing when she was handling them all was adding a message in the user title or in the signature, it may be a good idea just to recommend people who change their name to do that

They could just put it in there sig

We can see who you are and Staff remain the same but as Matthew stated I leave it in their member title but it's no big thing.

For those who don't know me, I was Pixellate, but some things came up and I might be changing my website name and all so I decided to use my real name. I was surprised it wasn't taken already...

This was posted just after that lol that's why I asked Dan is we could enable it as too many were asking so you was actually the lucky last to have your name changed.
