There are a couple of methods, you could use a vector mask and use the shape tool set to "rounded rectangle" (or something like that) and mask out the cornders that way. You could select the picture area with the requiremant that the image area doesnt stretch all the way to the edges of the document, make a alpha channel of the selection, gaussian blur the alpha and then use the levels slider to harden the edges, then load the new alpha selection as a mask to the image. Or you could use the circular marquee along with the rectangular marquee to build a selection with rounded corners, its the most time consuming but does give you the most control. There are probobaly more ways but those are all i can remember thats effective atm. whoosh[1].gif

I believe I've got a method that is even simpler. Just select your image. Then go to Select > Modify > Smooth and enter the amount of pixels you wish to smooth. Somewhere around 5 -10 is usually fine. Then when you still got that selected and you are on your image layer, press Ctrl + J (Cmd + J on Mac) to duplicate it onto its own layer. Then just delete the image of the background layer. That will make your corners rounded!

That works fine on smaller rounded corners but if you want anything over a smooth value of 30 pixles you will run into problems ad you will find that your rounded edges arent so round. rolleyes.gif

Hi i tired that and although it worked and created my curved corners, it also faded the straight edges so that they dont look as sharp, otherthan that this would be an ideal solution.
