Hello All - Our team is looking for a Logo for our jerseys. Thus we are looking for a one color logo. The backs of the shirts will have the Logo and we are also looking for the front of the shirt to have a small offset logo on the left side. This logo could be the same as the back or a variation. It is a volleyball team and the name is ABEKAT ANARCHY - Abekat is danish for monkey. The logo on the back should contain the team name and it is this logo I am most interested in. I am not a designer and thus I will have to be educated on what format would work best for me to be able to download and make a screenprint..I believe jpeg would be fine but I could be way off.

The contest will run until February 2, 2007. If I find a winner here I will pay $40.00 either by paypal or money order. I have a few people working on the logo locally but the designs are a little too folk artsy for the team.

I was just looking at some of the soccer logos in the photo albums and was very impressed. The challenge for the volleyball logo is making one which will have the same impact but only using one color.

This site has some very talented individuals.

Alright, tried making som logos.. some in 1 color, some in 2 (i just wanted to try how it looked like)
these are just sketches.. ideas.. so if you like one of them ill make it better and more detailed (if possible with just one color.. not many vector-shadows on a monkey there )

Good start - but the monkey can be just a head or torso - or doesn't even have to include a monkey - Could be very minimalist with just outlines..looking for something somewhat agressive. Should have the name - I do like the font you used. The monkey can be hitting the volleyball or the volleyballcan be seperate or not even included (if there is not a volleyball I would like the word volleyball included with the name) I can post something I was thinking about tonight.

I was just reviewing the soccer crests (they were in one of the albums on this site) again and they seem like a way to go...at least one option anyway. I could use a large size for the back of the shirts and a smaller one for the front.

The mid left are getting to be more what I was envisioning...I will post some of "Crests" that I have seen and see if you can incorporate the logo into it.

i hope halftones/screens are o.k.

baeko - I love the design of the monkey on the left - it is very clean and could be used for some of our other sports teams like softball or even our adventure race team by just changing the wording. The monkey symbol would be very recognizable.

Can you try to design the logo using the monkey and abekat anarchy wording but get rid of the "volleyball wording and have the logo and team name in the middle of a volleyball? I hope you can figure out what I am asking. I am thinking that the logo would take up the back of the shirt and the orignal logo would go on the front chest in a smaller version.

Ecrouch - awesome job..I don't know what you would change. It looks great but whenver I look at it I think it should actually be a poster and not on a shirt. I'll get back to you on any changes...

Brown_Cow - Again Excellent work - the only problem I see with it is the grey tones - we are limite right now to one color (we may be able to do grey tones in the near future) Is there any way you can redo the logo without the grey tones?

Nothingman - Quite an impressive gallery that you have. I love the crests. Can you make one that has the team name and a volleyball in it - a monkey may also be nice but not necessary. I'll leave it to you to figure out what type of image. I think for the crest a more simplistic image of a monkey such as baeko's would be great...but I have been impressed by all of the logos so far so please do whatever you think works best.

I'll try and do a solid version although if your having them screenprinted halftones should be o.k..

Halftones can be done with a single color screen print by doing a dot pattern of various density, ala Roy Lichtenstein. I'm sure some of you guys know what I'm talking about more than I do. THere may even be a photoshop "effect" to create this from grey tones, but I'm not sure.

Actually we really like your logo - Can you make the shield either bigger and put abekat anarchy in it at the top - or even make it a circle instead of a shield? Also - can you make the image a little bigger in your post? You just need to do a grey or black for now. Thanks again -

Wow, NothingMan as usual, totally rocks! I also really like Baeko's most recent, the middle version with the oval and the mischievous looking eyes. Brown Cow's modifications, without the stars are really nice too. It's a really close contest in my mind, but it's not my contest.. I'm just an observer.

Cool Drawing! - How about if you start the motion lines in the upper left then have the monkey head and then some motion lines and the volleyball in the lower right. Make it look like the ball is going diagonally down. Also take out the flames for now. Work in the name Abekat Anarchy but do not use the word volleyball since there is a picture of one. Just some ideas. Great job...

Well.. Im going to Austria to ski tomorrow, and will be gone for one week - so if you need modifications, it has to be today, hehe

I like it better without the stars - it doesn't take away from the face of the monkey. Looks good.

The first and second are what we are going for...can you make the monkey a little more streamlined around the head and face.

Austria? Must be nice. I live in Colorado and I don't ski - just mountain bike. If you ski you should really try to get out here some time. Being a Dane we may even be able to find a place for you to stay. Do you snowboard also? That is now the big thing here.
