I made 3 video tutorials for After Effects, I have them up on metacafe right now, but once we get our site up(don't count on that anytime soon), I will host the high quality ones up there. It uses a single project to walk you through these 3 techniques. I'd recommend it more for intermediate to advanced users. For beginners it may be difficult to follow, but you could still learn from it. I've also included an animation preset to create muzzle flashes.
