In this tutorial we are going to learn how to make a splash page ...



At the finish of this tutorial you will be able to make something like this:







Well .. let`s start ...



Create a new 600 px X 600 px document ...

Fill it with #333333, you will now have something like this:







Using your Rounded Rectangle Tool ... create a square and then lower the opacity at 15% ... You will have something like this....







Inside of it create another square with the rounded rectangle tool ...

Use these blending options:



















Now you will have something like this:







Inside the previous maked rectangle we will make other 2 ... using the same tool ...



Now apply these blending options to it:























Now under the main grey rectangle ... using a brush add this black line and lower the opacity to 40%... You`ll now have something like this:







All you have to do is to put your text ... using your favourite font...



The final result:

Great tutorial! Would it be easier to just make an outer glow on the content box in stead of making a feathered box behind it? I don't know, just sounds like it would be easier. bigwink.gif
