I just wanted to post this up because I think the website for the OS X web design app CODA is what I would call a superb example of a site. It has the perfect balance of functionality and appeal and showcases some of the cool things that can be done with javascript, without overdoing it. What do you guys think?

I like it except for the page transition. I think it just doesnt go with the rest of the website. Besides it's kinda choppy, it should ease out and stop instead. Or I think a fade out fade in transition would work best. I don't think its the best design though - bit too plain for my liking.

I admit it's plain, but the point of this site is marketing - so it should be. It gets the point across bluntly and does it well. tongue.gif

Good to hear! Yeah, coda is nice, simple and to the point, yet it has just enough visual flair without overdoing it. just like the site smile.gif

How does CODA work exactly?
I'm finding it a bit hard to understand blink.gif

its a coding program lol "CODA" but yah i like coda, i only use it for php but its very nice..

Coda is essentially like dreamweaver (minus the design view) with features that make it MUCH better actually in my opinion. For example built in SSH. (OS X has this anyway, but it's nice to have a terminal window in your app) Check out the website for a complete list of features.

I have heard about CODA but have'nt used it so far. Is it so easy and simple to use CODA from the designing point of view?

I have only used Coda from the coding end and then previewed the site through Coda, Im not 100% sure if you can like... put all the sliced images together, link it all up what have you through the design front like Dreamweaver... Anyone else clarify?
