How can you recreate something of such great value and worth? That tower means something! And to modify a world-known man-made structure is just... not right. That tower's like one of the first things you learn when you get to school.

that looks bad,people love it the way it is,why cant they just leave it alone and celebrate its 120 year anniversary another way

its only temporary, surely the whole thing was supposed to only be temporary....

It's an ugly structure but i guess they needed it for holding alot of people above that thing. I guess they tried to get a function with as much elegance as possible. I just wonder about the other designs because 'if' this is the winner the others must be atrocious.

its been there since expo 1958, and renovated little while back.

They would never contemplate changing the Eiffel Tower, unless is was a health and safety hazzard lol
