I am trying to learn to draw/sketch (people specifically). Does anyone know a video tutorial that takes it slowly and has a good narrative? Everything I'm finding is a speed sketch, that throws me off... Also, if you know of a good written tutorial with a good amount of pictures and details, I'd appriciate it...

The tutorial shows how to start a basic sketch and how to color the skin in photoshop.

I'm not sure if you want a tutorial for a real sketch or for photoshop, but it's useful no matter which you are looking for.
