Umm, wouldn't we need the character's model before we could do anything?

moved, since i suppose you mean "modeling" the hair in Max.

Yes I did... Sorry if the question was unclear, I'll be more specific in the future...

And as for the model that the hair are to be on, I'm terbly sorry but I haven't made it yet...
Because I was working on another character that are too be in the movie and it just came to my mind that I have no idea of how I am to pull that hair off... (strangly phrased sentence...)

So I would be very very very happy if anyone that has the time might want to experiment and if successful let me know how u did it...

plz...

all depends on the hair style you want and what kinda character or look your going for.... you could just model a hard peice of geometry to use as the hair if it's more cartoony or you can use even poly planes with hair textures and alpha transparensy maps like most games and I think FF does
MeJasonX
Ok, I guess I could do that... smile.gif
Though I guess I should give a more detalied description on what I am going for...

She is a robot, so the rasta-like-hair is suposed to represent a bit thicker cables. The style I'm going for is not hyper-realistic but not very cartoonish either, it's somewhere in between...

I will get on making a quick model that you can use as soon I have the time, but until then I say thanks yet again...

so yeah best thing if you want like dreads I'm guessing would be to model cylinders and texture them. The best way get them to curve nicely when you model would be to create a curve as your path and extrude faces to follow the curve path... but that's how I would do it in maya... I don't know what program your using so...
