Well at school they needed someone to clean up the school website and make it better. I was assigned the homepage and was wondering if anyone had any ideas in order to make it more robust.
Here is the website:
http://teacherweb.sewanhaka.k12.ny.us/~nhpweb/You can definetly tell work needs to be done on it. So if anyone has any ideas please tell me. and can someone also tell me why images wont show when using firefox.

The content needs to be organized better. When preparing the layout, ask yourself what's most important to the visitor? What should they see first, secondary, etc? Scrolling messages tend to be annoying so I'd get rid of that. If there are any important messages that need to be posted, identify a spot on the page where they should go, usually above the main content.

ahh! yes it does need work haha. Best way would be to go to other school websites see how they have everything organized, what style they used, etc...
Just do a quick search for a random city and the word highschool. get a ton of examples

Yes the scrolling messages do get really annoying. So I guess I'll get rid of that along with the top half of the website which are just banners and would it be a good idea to but those announcements in an announcement board instead of it being 2 different tables

I was thinking of doing something like this for a layout. The banner I kinda took the idea with the Microsoft Office menu bar. Wat do you guys think I should add or change up

Where does the actual content go? Does this layout carry over to the other pages of the site or will it change?
This is a "lo-fi" version of our main content. To view the full version with more information, formatting and images, please
