is there a discrete way to limit his upload and download speed? he fills up the whole line while downloading stuff and i got tired of d/c him all the time ... Is there a way to limit him, without him finding the "limit" trap?

If your brother is using a torrents and isn't too smart to find out his torrent application has been tampered with...

Limit his Download/Upload speed while he's away from his computer...

I changed this on Transmission BT on my brothers Mac.

I don't know if there is any other way, if there is, i've never heard of it!

block the port or put quotas on traffic from that computer with your router. Check google to see how to pull it off with your router.
