I am working on the creating of a social network site. Most of you do not know who I am, but I have several years of experience in PHP. I have even more experience in programming (I first started with FORTRAN at age six.)
The Social Network will differ from other social networks, as, here are a few examples:
Cleaner URLS:
Instead of http://www.myspace.com/myService.cmf&v...;fdfasf=safdsaf
http://www.mysite.com/myservice/variables
That is minor, but nonetheless, still, much nicer though.

Better method of templates:
Instead of the horrible method MySpace prefers, this social network would permit direct editing of html / css, and support custom tags. Look at this example:

SDK:
An SDK for development over mobile (iPhone, iPod Touch, etc), Web (PHP / ASP), and desktop Applications.
Several more features, but I can not think of them to list at the moment. Anyway, who we currently have on the team:

None, that is essientally why I am posting this.
Also, I can not provide money completely upfront. I am not poor, but I want to see if this goes anywhere before spending several thosands of dollars on a team. If we do get succesful, we will permit people to buy adspace, and if we receive a lot of traffic (like most social networks do), then we will be able to sell adspace for a nice price. Also, you will be able to add the social network to your portfollio, and, just like Facebook and MySpace, the social network will probably receive air time on news (TV, Newspapers, etc).
