Hello, im not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I will give it a try.

I would like to request that a new tutorial category be added specifically for Firewalls. I know you will there are sections under the Operating systems, but the tutorials about firewalls that I will be writing apply to all firewalls under all operating systems. The tutorials are also more advanced, such as the mechanics of a firewall and such.

I sent an email to Pixel2Life about this, but I havent gotten a reply, so I figured I post this here too.

Thanks!

Well, no one has replied to this forum or my email yet. Does anyone even visit this site anymore? IT doesnt seem very active aside from people siubmitting tutorials.

just submit your tutorials under the appropriate OS's, put advanced in the title if it is a tough topic. Firewalls are grouped with OS's for a reason I'm assuming.

Austen, I agree with you. However, I will be going over stuff such as how firewalls work, and how to set rules and stuff for corporate firewalls. All of this stuff applies for all Os's.

Tutorials are monitored and reviewed before approval into the live site... Therefore, I'd publish it under one of the categories it can fit in and if Faken or anyone with the required permission levels feel that a new category is required for your type of tutorial - I'm sure one will be added.

Additionally, a title like network security may get more attention than firewalls...
