Hi there,

CS1 is driving me nuts! At the moment, when I drop an image onto the Photoshop icon, Photoshop launches but does nothing else, also when in another program (Nikon capture), when I ask to 'open image in photoshop' the same thing happens. The only way I can open an image is go to 'file' and 'open'. Which is very annoying.

If anyone has aa solution - I would very grateful!

When your dragging the image into the photoshop icon, are you letting go of the mouse button right away ?

Its best to wait, hold your image over the photoshop icon, till photoshop pops up on your screen then drag the image a little into photoshop window, then let go of the mouse button, it should open then,, if that dosent work, then thay must be something wrong, if thats the case, i would re-install photoshop.

Not sure about the Nikon, i have never used that so cant really say

Hope this helps

I would say reinstall or try deleting Photoshop Preferences file , believe me it can cause the worst of problems.

To Delete Preferences File,

In Photoshop 6 and up, hold down Ctrl+Alt+Shift (Windows) or Command+Option+Shift (Mac) immediately after (or while) launching Photoshop. A prompt will ask if you want to delete the preferences file. Click Yes.

If that does not work for you , try reinstalling if you can.

Hope it works,
