I was just wondering how this effect was done? can someone please help me out?the purplish sky.....

There's numerous ways to get this effect.

I would prefer making a new layer and setting it to color, maybe soft light. And painting purple in various places in the sky with a soft brush

The less artistic way is selection the whole sky, and playing with hue & saturation

i tried the hue/sturation method and it came out ghastly.....ill try the soft light method and get back to you....thanx!

Try also to use Blur filter effect in a layer mask.
