Ok, I'm pretty experienced with HTML/CSS, I don't know everything but I can do the basic HTML formatting and design a page with CSS.

I would like to know how to make a more interesting site like pixel2life.com/forums.

I absolutely LOVE the color scheme and the navigation and search bar.

If you would like to see what I can do, just visit http://betaskate.110mb.com (site for a local skate team I'm in) or http://danimals.110mb.com (a little design I did a while ago) and that's about my best works.

I want to learn how to make the dynamic shaped navigation menu that pixel2life has because right now I can only make rectangular shaped links and all that jazz. I know it's Photoshop design for the buttons but I don't know how to get it from Photoshop to my web page and have it display correctly.

I'd really love it if someone can point me in the right direction, maybe link to a tutorial that explains this method of design or give me some keywords to search up on google or here. I'm tired of making a template and then looking at other people's templates and just thinking how much better they are than me and stuff lol. Like this site, IDK if I could ever make a template like this! Love it!

Well anyway, I should stop typing now and get some help smile.gif

Thanks for the assistance!

I'd suggest dissecting sites you like and see how they do it. View all the images that make up the site. If you're using Firefox you can just right click over each image and choose View Image.

For the coding, right click and choose View Source. You can also use something like Firebug to further dissect the code.

Finally, tutorials! There's tons of tutorials on this site as well as many others for designing. Check out the TutsPlus collection of sites.
