I like your font and the blending but for me there is just too much blank space in your latest creations. Good attempt nevertheless, keep it up!

I love your smudging.
And the black - It doesn't kill the sig, but a alot of people prefer a sig with a full bg. Just looks better.
Your text is good, and I myself have this problem, but it draws too much attention from the focal. ):

Good smudging .. but needs more contrast in the image. Add more light source above his head and around him.
