I don't have a lot of experience with Photoshop or Illustrator, but I can follow almost any tutorial I come across and improvise from there.

I'm looking to create the "mountain" texture, including the highest altitude in the center of the path of the attached image. Yes, this is copyrighted work. Since I'm such a lovable fan, the company gave me a high-res EPS for the symbol itself for a project. I love these guys!

After spending some quality time in Illustrator I now know how they made the symbol and can use the same brush settings to make my own. Still, I'm going nuts trying to figure out how to get that raised texture there. I don't know the terminology for it so I can't search on it. My google-fu is strong, yet everything I've found has been too much or not even close.

Any tips? Thanks in advance!
