Hmmm... It is a bit too grungy for my taste in a web designer. The design itself is good but please do not use splash pages... the server no purpose other than to confuse those who aren't so friendly with the internet and annoy those who are a bit more savvy, splash pages will increase your bounce rate tremendously.

I think some small-medium changes could really boost the site.

(Also on the beauty salon site you designed, you've made it so every time the user clicks home they are returned to the splash page... If you are gonna use a splash page it's best to use it only once and when the user clicks home let it take them back to the page after the splash page).

Don't get down though... This is just one guys opinion.

I agree, don't use a splash page.
The main site looks good, but the background does not repeat nicely along the sides (I have a wide monitor) so you might want to look into making that transition better. Overall it looks good though.
