Hi everyone, I was just wondering something and this question is more for people who own their own business, more likely an online business such as a web design business. Anyway, I was wondering for those people who do own a website and offer services such as web design, graphic design etc how interested would you be in "plugging" your advert on a type of directory website as a source of advertising for your website, with added twists.

So you come to my website, sign up and set up your business profile and create an advert on the site for a fee, you can use an image of a certain size and a short description. The initial advert is displayed in the relevant directory category and is hyperlinked to your businesses profile page you created upon signing up to the website. The added twist is that other users can rate your website using a 5 star rating system and also write reviews on your website.

I just want to know how many people would use this type of service, so I’m sort of trying to gage the potential market here. It is sort of a yell.com but with more features and interactivity. I was also just wondering would people actually use something like this, in the way of 'searching through' i.e. it would essentially be a directory of businesses and also a business search engine would any of you use this type of service to find, say a graphic designer?

Thanks, Rich.

P.S. How active is P2L nowadays?

Well. That totally depends on the website you're going to put advertisements on. I couldn't care less for a "top-list" website, but if you happen to own CNN, we could talk.

You have tough competition though. Established websites are usually granted more credibility, but if you for example manage to localize the contents or something...
