I would like to offer my services as a Web Coder. I previously was offering them for free to get experience and now I'm quite confident of my abilities.

  • Ajax (I use Ajax whenever possible. Easier, faster, and more user friendly)
I do not use XML. It seems to me XML is more of a personal preference. Anything that can be done in XML can be done by other means. I am very familiar with all of these above languages, and with them I can accomplish anything you need done.

Ajax
I use Ajax whenever possible. Ajax adds much more power to your pages and allows JavaScript to access other pages and return database information quickly. Ajax is very convenient to the visitor; you can do just about anything without leaving the page. An example of Ajax would be Google's suggested searches while you are typing in the search bar. While the information in the search box changes, Google sends that information to other pages using Ajax and returns what it thinks are relative topics to your search.

Custom Content Management System
Content Management Systems are almost mandatory for today's websites. With a CMS you can easily add, edit, and remove information from your site. I build my content management systems from the ground up using Ajax for quick management. Another plus is that you don't need to know any coding knowledge yourself!

Database Driven
This goes without saying but I will make it a point anyway. As you know, database driven websites are a MUST for today's internet. I'm very familiar with database management and use Ajax to create dynamic, user friendly and fun pages. I use MySQL and I'm familiar with PhpMyAdmin but can build a database driven website even without it (Although I must admit, it is very convenient smile.gif).

CSS / Site Design / Graphics
I practice modern site design techniques and stay far away from tables (but on rare occasions tables work better then divs). My CSS is cross-browser supported and built for 1024x768 and higher resolution. I can produce basic but adequate graphics. I'm not a trained graphics artist but I do understand color theory, color schemes, and a bit of design theory.

None exists currently, Because the last site I made is still waiting for graphics to arrive (the owner hired a painter to do the background) I don't want to link you to it. And just a glance at the site wouldn't do it justice anyway, most of the work is in the CMS. But just a few of the things I have done are-

Payment
I do require payment for jobs. I don't work by the hour because it's not possible for you to monitor how many hours I've worked. How do you know I didn't stretch the truth? Payment is completely dependent on the job and the time it will take to complete. I will give a base price but if more content is requested I supply a rate for things like added pages and added features. I ask for a standard starting payment of $500 that will be subtracted from the total price. After that, on the first of every month until the job is completed or until the full payment is made I require that a small payment is made (To fund the cost of living). This is all standard. More information will be included in the contract.

Contract
I DO write a thorough contract and request both parties to sign. Nothing is malicious about the contract, it's just something to protect me AND you. It's simply so that half way through the project we don't get hung up on a misconception, wasting both of our time and your money.
