Replacement Macros

Now I will teach you what a Replacement Macro is, and how to edit one.

A Replacement Macro is a replacement method that is used to replace some text with something else. In this case, to replace text with an image. For example, IPB replaces <{A_POST}> with the new topic Icon. On the page, you will see a long list of replacement macros. To edit one, press Change next to the macro you want to edit.

A window will then appear, like the one shown above. The only you think should edit is the replacement box, by editing the variable.. you can mess up your whole skin! You can also create new macros, by going to the bottom and pressing Add Macro. To finish editing a macro, press Edit This Macro.

That's all there is to Replacement Macros.
