I read your post on how to get your HP 5300c scanner working in Vista. I tried the same steps to try and get my 4470c scanner working to no avail. I also tried Vuescan from Hamrick software and that failed. Is there something in my PC inhibiting my scanner from functioning apart from the dreaded Vista. The scanner works as I tried it on my old PC. I have uninstalled the HP drivers and reloaded them with the same result. I am an engineer but not a PC specialist. Any help would useful, even if it's "It will never work as it is an old scanner". Thanks
