Tutorial goal:
This tutorial will show you how to create a flower made from a candle flame.

step 1


1. mask out the candle flame, copy it and Ctrl T to make the free transform.

After you have made a copy, Ctrl J - hold down the Alt using the move tool, grab the crosshairs and move to the bottom center, release Alt. then with move tool rotate the lyr to the right slightly.

This is the important step, Do a Ctrl J to copy, then hold own Shift Ctrl Alt all at once. then hit the T key and the layer will rotate to the right equal distance to the prior rotate. to repeat, hit Ctrl J and do the same, Shift Ctrl Alt hit T. repeat until the layers complete the full circle.

Then I selected all the layers by holding down Shift Ctrl, then click the layer you want to select. do this to all the flame layers, to merge them, while holding down Ctrl hit the E key. that will merge the layer into one new layer.
