This needs a little DIGG button added, this is brilliant and surely hope all those people that submit video tutorials read this and see where they're going wrong.

Awsome job on this one Dan, Is this the tutorial you were writing when you lost it all???? hahah that would of sucked to re-write all of that.... but I really like it tho it's really clear and some of the stuff some people would of never thought about it... and I notice it alot looking at many video tutorials...

Oh poor Faken! That's a lot of writing to have to re-do. I'm glad you did it though. It is a well needed, and very well thought out tutorial! The one thing I kept hoping you would talk about was the notepad thing! That completely destroys the point of a video tutorial! Glad you wrote this! Thank you, -Jake Moore

Yes, definitely hits all of the key points in video tutorials. I personally have only seen about two video tutorials I actually liked and followed through to the end, and one of them was in the latest P2L newsletter (even though I had watched it before the newsletter was sent, hehe): the one on making the 300 time-speed effect. I don't like watching video tutorials for alot of things, especially with coding, because if I were to miss something they said, or want to go back for a particular part later on, I'd have to go back and find the spot, and it becomes a hassle; whereas with a text tutorial, its easy to find the spot and continue from there. Anyways, great points with the tutorial, definitely touches all the bases in my opinion.
