You can't really, unless you break out of HTML.
But that's the n00b way.
You should look at other, more dynamic Template Systems, not using the "Find and Replace Braces".

As Adrian said you will need to look elsewhere for that. Even using php inside the tpl file the usual was will not work s for security reasons, unlike some tutorials i have seen, i do not use eval.
As i suggested on page 1, check out Smarty of a similar engine for something more advanced. They have conditionals, loops, etc without actually using php.

I have already seen Smarty, but too difficult for me, this is why I wanted to use your small system.
But I'll learn smarty, it will be better, that's right.
