Theres a tut for making the 3 most common borders you'll find on the web.

EDIT by Faken: Here's the tutorial hosted by us... (DA is slow as molasses)

I just had to register and voice an opinion real quick. I hate people who feel they have to correct spelling mistakes. Especially those who cannot even spell themselves!!!!!

Spelt, hmm I'm guessing this person is trying to say spelled. But in his/her own ignorance they chose to type the word as spelt. Let's take a look at the definiton of spelt.

From the Merriam Webster online dictionary site:

*************

Main Entry: 1spelt
Pronunciation: 'spelt
Function: noun
Etymology: Middle English, from Old English, from Late Latin spelta, of Germanic origin; perhaps akin to Middle High German spelte split piece of wood, Old High German spaltan to split -- more at SPLIT
: a wheat (Triticum aestivum spelta) with lax spikes and spikelets containing two light red kernels

*************

So Mr. Jay@Twod before you go and correct someone elses ingorance or merely 'typo', you should have a go at correcting your own ignorance. It just may make you not look like such an idiot.

By the way, great tutorial. Sorry for the outburst, but that kind of thing just gets to me and I see it way too often.

Peace all,
G3mInI

Umm.. Gemini, both Jay and FS are staff members and know each other.. I really don't think there was any offense intended and we like to make sure that P2L posted tutorials have correct spelling etc...

So welcome to the forums but lets not be flaming the staff... it makes my ban finger twitch :)

Well of course I had no idea who is who, as this is my first time here. I was redirected here from another tutorial website ( Free Photoshop Tutorials, HTML Tutorials, Flash Tutorials ) that had this particular tutorial listed. In my own defense I was not trying to piss anyone off, I was just merely correcting someone who was correcting someone else. Maybe it wasn't done with the best choice of words. Just with all the years and boards that I have traversed, I see that a lot. Quite understandable that a moderator would want the tutorial to be grammatically correct. But shouldn't the moderator also be grammatically correct when making the correction? If that type of action denotes a ban, or "a walk all over my ass", then so be it. At least I will have the personal satisfaction that jay will spell spelt as 'spelled' the next time he finds a typo.

Peace,
G3mInI
