How To Make Quick Restart Or Shutdown Buttons

Don't you ever have those moments where even simple tasks are a pain? At times I do not feel like clicking on the start bar and performing the steps needed to turn of my PC or restart it. Instead I would rather have a shortcut to all of this. Even when I don't have those moments, just having these shortcut icons or buttons are really useful.

Read on to find out:

How To Make Your Icons More Attractive

Once were done are buttons look pretty dull and boring. As you can see below there is really nothing special about the way the icons look.

Here is a quick solution to customizing the way its appearance. You can perform these steps for the Restart or Shutdown buttons.

    1. Right click on anyone of the icons and select Properties

    2. On the screen that appears select Change Icon

There might be an error message if so just click OK.

    3. Select an icon and press OK

    4. Press Apply, then OK.

    This is our finished product.

To make these icons even more of a time saver I dragged them to my dock to make them easy to access. Don't know what a dock is? Read How To Get The Mac Dock For Windows.

You can perform all the steps needed and have your very own Shutdown or Restart button in literally seconds. If you have any questions just ask away in the comments below.
