I just found an wordpress plugin that offered backup service for called IDrive. I give it a chance since IDrive provide 2 GB space for free. That number is great starting number or hostingformula.

This plugin is easy to use and I think it will be free alternative for Vaultpress 🙂

Here’s step by step guide using IDrive for backup wordpress :

Install IDrive wordpress plugin

Go to plugin section and click Add new plugin, in search term enter ‘idrive’ and hit ‘Search Plugins‘ button.

Click ‘Install Now‘ link under search result :

Idrive for WordPress.

IConfigure IDrive wordpress plugin

For first time use click button ‘Create New IDrive Account’ .

Enter all information needed and click ‘Sign up for new account‘.

Once account created successfully try to do quick backup by press ‘Backup Now‘ under Last Backup Summary.

Status will change from ‘No backup started yet‘ to ‘Backup initializing‘

For cross check  backup status just click View Logs tab.

Done, install and configuration steps are complete.

IDrive will backup my wordpress every night.
