About PNG/GIF/JPEG Formats Pictures

PNG - Image file stored in the PortableNetwork Graphic (PNG) format; contains a bitmap of indexed colors anduses lossless compression, similar to a .GIF file but without copyrightlimitations; commonly used to store graphics for Web images.Additionally, while GIF images only support fully opaque or fullytransparent pixels, PNG images may include an 8-bit transparencychannel, which allows the image colors to fade from opaque totransparent.

GIF - GIFs are common format for Webgraphics, especially small images and images that contain text, such asnavigation buttons. However, JPEG (.JPG) images are better for showingphotos because they are not limited in the number of colors they candisplay. GIF images can also be animated and saved as "animated GIFs,"which are often used to display basic animations on websites. They mayalso include transparent pixels, which allow them to blend withdifferent color backgrounds.

JPEG - Compressed graphic formatstandardized by the Joint Photographic Experts Group (JPEG); compressedusing lossy compression, which may noticeably reduce the image qualityif high amounts of compression are used. JPEG images are commonly usedfor Web graphics and for storing photos taken with digital cameras. Theyare usually saved with a .JPG extension.

1. Download professional Mac photo recovery software. I recommend uMacsoft data recovery at www.umacsoft.com, which has simple interface. It's easy to use without reading user manual at the beginning for newbie.

2. Choose the partition that store pictures to scan. This feature could recover almost all the deleted or lost data for you.

3. When finishing scanning, you will get a list of scannedpicture files on the interface of program. Enable the checkbox and thento click "Preview" button to see if they are the picture files that youlost. If yes, "Recovery" button allows you to retrieve them with ease.

About Data Recovery

At some point in time, everyone who owns a computer willexperience the trials and tribulations of hard drive failure. Thereasons behind it vary, and could include everything from a human errorto damages resulting from flood or water. Viruses can play a role aswell, along with many other factors. For many years, the need to recoverdata that has been lost or destroyed has made data recovery such a veryvaluable asset.

Almost all hard drives can be recovered. Normally, if thedrive is making a ticking or a scratching noise, you can use certainsoftware programs to recover the data. Sometimes, due to age or badparts, the aperture arm in the hard drive can fail, or the platters canbecome damaged and lose the data that they hold. If you can't recoverthe information with software, you'll need to send the hard drive offand have it either rebuilt or have technicians recover your data.
