This is mostly likely c4d. Are you using the trial? Did you save the render in picture veiwer as a targa and with alpha channel selected?

PS CS doesnt work any differently than 7 in that respect. If you can't get it to export with transparent background try my chroma tutorial HERE and when you get in photoshop you will have a very easy color to pick up with the magic wand tool and cut out.

What about trying to save it as a tiff? Or a png?

Save the render as TIFF or TARGA and make sure that alpha channel is checked.

Open the file in Photoshop. Check your channels window, and at the bottom (below RGB, Red, Blue and Green) you should see one where your abstract is white (also called alpha channel). CTRL + left click that channel and the abstract alone should be selected. Drag that into a new psd document or whatever document you want to add the abstract to.

I had trouble with this too.

I have saved it as TIFF or Targe (tried both) and my alpha channel where checked all the time....

A r e n A: i did as u said. but when dragging it out of a ps frame to an other the whole thing just been white or black. didnt look like 3d anymore.. why do it have to be so difficult.
