also they didn't hire 10 people who happened to work for mozilla, they hired 5 people who used to work for microsoft
they aren't looking at programming an internet browser, just researching into how the different upcoming browsers (FireFox) work so they can tweak the google engine and google toolbar to work in these browsers

JAy you are right and wrong, it was confirmed that they were making a browser, but you were right about them hiring some random microsoft people, and some other people. Including them ain man behind Java!if you'd have read around you'd know the "gbrowser.com" address is to used on a desktop searching program google are working on thats search for locally stored files

google has more power than microsoft online, and could probably take that power onto other markets

i mean not many people remember the days of "google are evil" but now days it seems to be that they can't do anything wrong
google are a company with a face, yahoo, ask jeeves, amazon... all companies without faces
thats why google will win whatever battle they choose to go into at the moment in my opinion
