My first project out on my own. Did a few concept sketches then just took the plunge and went for it. Modelled and basic textures in Cinema 4D.

It's not that hard once you get started, I've only been using 3d programs afor about 3 weeks. I'd like to have a go at rigging him and then making ashort animation but that will be a while off yet. Thanks all for your comments.

3 weeks?? Dang. Thats really good man. How much of an art background do you have? This is really cool! Is there any way to make the blue light line around its head to look like its glowing more?

Thanks all for your replies. Don't have much of an art background, in fact I failed art at school but then I was just a lazy teenager. I've always had artistic talent but never really used it. I love drawing and painting but had never used any 3d packages as I thought they would be far too complicated. Once you get into them though and do a few tutorials I'm getting to grips with them. The blue light was created using a blue colour but also adding a coloured glow and luminance to the material, very simple to do in C4D. I will add a little glow to the eye, like you say it will make him look more alive. I've also done a render of some of his mates!

Thanks man. C4D is so easy to use. Much easier than the likes of Maya or Max.
